Hello All!

I have just returned from the most amazing trip of my life! I spent 3 days in Rome, Italy! It is the most beautiful city! Words cannot begin to explain how amazing the city was! On the first day we got into the city at 9:00 and we went straight out to see the city! We saw the Colloseum and the Ruins. Then just wondered about the city! Then Sat we woke up early and found the Trivi Fountain and “rich street”. Every designer possible! It was amazing! We went to the Spanish steps as well. We both felt they were a letdown. T.J. videoed me throwing my coins into the Trivi Fountain I will make sure post that! On the last day was the most amazing! We woke and went to Vatican City! The Pope was giving mass and so I was able to see him live! It was very emotional! St Peters Square is amazing. We saw so much in 2 days! I will for sure make sure that I return to the city!

I am having such an amazing adventure! I am so amazed that I will be home in a little over a month! I know I will be excited to come home and see all of you, and at the same time so terribly sad to be leaving what has become my new home! I have made some of the most amazing friends! I will miss them terribly, but now have a reason to travel to Australia as well as come back to Graz! And some are even planning to come to Saint Louis and visit me! I have learned so much about myself here! This has been the most amazing thing I could have done at this point in my life!

I will be home in little over a month! I am sure I will be running around like a chicken with its head cut off to try and see all of you! I have missed you all! Make sure the week of Jan 4th is open on all of your calendars! I will want to see everyone!

Love and Out!

1 month

Hello. It has been one month since I moved to Graz! It feels like yesterday that I was getting on a plane for this big adventure.I can not begin to tell you how much i truely love this city. I never would have guessed that after only being here for a month I would already love it as much as I do. School begins on Monday. This is still an issue. I need to be in 20 ECTS, which is their credit system and that would be equal to taking 12 credit hours back home. I am only signed up for 16. This is not good. I went to see an adisor and she failed to mention to me that registration closes. It has now closed and I can not get into another course which I need. I have e-mailed the professor in hopes of getting into the class late. I am not good a going with the flow but I have sure been doing it here. There are some things I miss about home, I NEVER thought I would say this but I miss Wal-Mart..LOL...Here it is more difficult to find your everyday needs. They buy socks and underwear from places like H & M! I think it very strange but i am getting more and more used to it everyday. Meredith and I are still getting along great! Her boyfriend came to visit this week and it was really nice to get to meet him. I still do not know much German...it is the hardest language! I am trying though. I think that I will pick some up once school and started and I make more friends that are from here. At least that is what I am hoping! I also went and had my hair colored. The salon was cute and they did a goodjob! I know have dark hair and straight across bangs! Thought I would change it up a bit since I am so far away! Meredith said she really likes it! I will ahve to go somewhere to take pictures so you all can see! Miss all of you...BUT i wish I wish I could stay here and you all could just come to see me! Love you All!

graz week 3

Hello. This is the last week of my German course. So I feel like I know much...NO...lol... This has been the hardest three weeks in a class I have ever taken. I do know enough to get around the city and shop, but to carry on a conversation with someone would be very difficult. I also have found out that there are not any Political Science classes being offered in English this semester...AWESOME...So now I am Graz for a null semester. I debated coming home but I need to be enrolled full time for my FAFSA and to stay on my dads insurance so...I am going to be taken random courses here and just living the dream...lol..well soaking up every moment of being overseas. I also think even though they are not Poli Sci courses it will be neat to see what courses are like over here. Still loving every minute of it here! Meredith and I just keep getting closer and closer! I am excited! I am missing a few things from home but not fully homesick! Sorry I have not been posting daily, but with the German Course I have been pretty busy. Talk with you all soon!

Update

Hello All,!

So I have survived almost 2 weeks in Graz! I fall in love with the city more and more each day! I am making friends too! I LOVE my roomate Meredith, she is from Australia and we have so much in common. There are also these sisters that have become our really good friends as well! Kelly and Erika! I am excited for school to start though. It is pretty quiet in our dorm because many people will not move in till the end of the month. I also found out the my classes are most likely going to be pretty difficult, so i will be A LOT of studying. But that is why I came here!! My German course is going..it is such a hard language to pick up! But I am trying and I have started to label things in my room so that when I see them I can say it in German! I miss certain things from home, but I have yet to be homesick if that makes sence? I am thinking I will for sure be ready to come home in Jan!

Welcome Week

Well I have made it to Welcome Week! Today we had to pay for our German course and it actually begins tomorrow. Meredith my roomate and I are both in the 1st level! I met some nice people today. Then we had a short break and went to the first day of welcome week. Only come to find out they had me down as coming on the 20th not right now. So I could not do what they did today but I will be going the rest of the week. I will have to do registration on the 20th. Bum deal but not that bad. So I went to the grocery store for Meredith and I and got us enough food (breakfast, lunch and dinner) for a week, and it was only 22 euros! That is awesome! Now I am waiting for Mer to get home and then who knows, it is one of our new friend Shawns birthday, so I think we may meet him out for a drink!
